STEP 3: REQUIRED DOCUMENT

  • RECORDS (File Type: PDFs or JPEGs)
  • Birth certificate (Pre-K through 8th grade)
  • Grades from CURRENT academic year (grade 1 only)
  • Grades from PREVIOUS AND CURRENT academic year (grades 1 – 8)
  • Most recent STANDARDIZED TEST scores: Iowa, Stanford, LEAP, Pre ACT 8,/9
  • PreACT10 (grades 1 – 8)
  • ​Applications (should ONLY be filled out by the parent)

STEP 4: PARENT AND STUDENT INTERVIEW

  • Once the placement test is finished, we will schedule your interview with the appropriate principal
  • Interviews last approximately 1 hour
  • ​The principal will visit with both the parent(s) and the student(s)
  • The student(s) and one parent must be present for the interview.
  • The admissions office and principal determine whether your child’s score on the entrance test is satisfactory in order to proceed with the admission process.

STEP 5: ADMISSIONS CRITERIA & DECISIONS

  • Applicants must have obtained the classroom age by September 30th of the school year (3yrs, 4yrs, Kindergarten (5 years)
  • Applicants must have a minimum of 2.3 GPA on their most recent report cards.
  • Applicants must have a qualifying score on the STAR Reading and Math assessments (grades 1-8)
  • All students must have a record of good behavior and attendance from their previous school.
  • All applicants must have satisfactory parent/student interview with the principal

STEP 6: OFFER OF ENROLLMENT

  • Our admissions committee will evaluate your child’s admissions file, including recommendation forms, grades, and placement test results
  • If your child is accepted for admission to Calvary Christian, you will receive an offer of enrollment via email
  • You must accept your student’s offer of enrollment within two weeks of notification to secure your child’s placement in the class
